Brad Pitt’s Entrepreneurial Brother

Doug Pitt, a Missouri entrepreneur in his 40s, owns ServiceWorld Computer Center and a real estate development company.  He’s involved in several humanitarian causes, serving as Director of WorldServe International (a charity providing drinking water across east Africa), an advisor to Africa 6000 (another water charity) and the United Republic of Tanzania’s inaugural Goodwill Ambassador.  He also founded Care to Learn, which provides immediate financial and physical help to kids who come to school with health, hunger or hygiene needs.

Oh, and one other thing:  Doug Pitt happens to be actor Brad Pitt’s younger brother.

The lesser-known Pitt is getting considerable Internet attention, thanks to his starring role in a new advertisement for Virgin Mobile Australia.  The two-minute ad, a spoof on the everyday lifestyle of Doug, describes him as “the second most famous Pitt in the family.”

  1. I saw the ad last week live or on the news, and yes, it did catch my attention. I thought it was rather engaging.

  2. Well I learned something new, I didn’t know that Brad Pitt had a brother and a very accomplished one at that. Thank you for the insightful article I enjoyed it.
