Those who know 94-year-old Arline Kneen describe her with words like “hard worker,” “a dynamo,” “interested in serving others” and “proactive.” And no wonder. As reported by The Plain Dealer’s Marcia Pledger, Kneen heads up three companies in which she is still actively involved with her son, Robert.
One of these companies is a travel agency where she still works every day. Her business card reads: “World’s Oldest Travel Agent/Chances are…I’ve been there.”
On August 30, Arline and Robert Kneen will open Skye restaurant, to be located inside the Lawnfield Inn & Suites, a hotel they own in the Cleveland area. Kneen attributes her success “mostly to luck” but says “it also takes vision and risks.”
